Croatia

Croatia is one of Europe's best-kept secrets; a country that is steeped in history and has a coastline that extends for hundreds of miles with limestone cliffs plunging into clear blue waters. Ecologically, it has one of the best-preserved environments, with as many as seven national parks. The ancient golden-walled city Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, is almost a living museum - medieval in character with a heavy influence of the baroque period. Located on the extreme south of Croatia, Dubrovnik has a town centre that you can cross in ten minutes; where life spills spontaneously onto its pedestrianised marble streets; and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dubrovnik is the ideal location for conferences or incentives as it has an abundance of quality hotels with excellent conference facilities, natural beauty and well-preserved cultural and historical heritage.

Split is the second largest city in Croatia and has gradually developed around the palace of the Roman emperor, Diocletian. Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean, the town centre is an intriguing maze of cobblestone streets where Roman churches, Gothic chapels, museums, art galleries and inviting restaurants can be found. There is also a number of good quality hotels for conference planning organisers to choose from.
